Black Son

Your brand of dignity is quiet.

Your Godliness cannot be missed.

The need for bravado is lost on you.

Because you've never confused humility with humiliation.

You are a black son born of black moon.

Your brilliance is sometimes confused with the sun's rays.

Your smile warms my heart.

You are worthy of this world's praise.

Because your stride contests your assurance and understanding.

You are a black son born of a black moon.

Spirituality is achieved from peace.

You contemplate each move you take.

Thoughtful in every goal you make.

Your strength is a testimony to the man you will become.

I am The Black moon who bore a Black son.

I love you Najee Isaac Emannuelle Dow
