Jessica, You Teacher

24 years
Jesus lived longer
...little momma

Your little boy
was your first

Now he is
your only

So easily
you showed us
what Jesus said
all along

everybody is our
neighbor
our Jesus
...our Jessica

...and until
Jessica’s life matters
nobody’s life matters

She was just
a little home care nurse

Just a busy little slave

She wanted to be
free so bad
...she paid with her life

She knew what I know
I’m not free to live
like I am allowed to think

muzzled, silenced
subhuman submission

Rebel as I do
...say what you really think

...it’s going to cost you

But not doing so

...will also cost you
your life
