philosophy of love
a little taste of heaven
♪At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet.—Plato♪
let your free spirit
break forth
from its own shackles
let your goings-astray
be the founding
of spectacular horizons
being lost
in being found
as the seed
in dying lives
'tis the true sophistry
of philia
the philosophy
of love
then would not i
pluck you
from the stem
nor siphon you
from native seas
for you would yield
yourself
into my arms
de-stemmed
without my plucking
but by my tenderness
not forcefully deflowered
embraced
by my consummate love
but by blind passions
not wantonly devoured
dripping
in my grasp
but not drowning
rescued
in my sanctuary
but not reclused
for the true sophistry
the philosophy
of love
is finding
here on earth
a little taste of heaven
