Paths
The road wends it's way
Through small, laced hills
Traced here and there
By darkling rills
Which join at length
A stream which flows
Beneath a bridge
Then onward goes
As onward I
Across the bridge
Then down the road
Seek further ridge
For roads and streams
And paths it seems
Travel ever on
Like mystic dreams
Just vignettes spied
Just memories
A passing touch
Of reverie
Such is journey
Of such is life
Of passing day
Before the night
Through small, laced hills
Traced here and there
By darkling rills
Which join at length
A stream which flows
Beneath a bridge
Then onward goes
As onward I
Across the bridge
Then down the road
Seek further ridge
For roads and streams
And paths it seems
Travel ever on
Like mystic dreams
Just vignettes spied
Just memories
A passing touch
Of reverie
Such is journey
Of such is life
Of passing day
Before the night
