Hits Home

When I Write!  
 
I have to close my eyes
And become one with my poetry ....
 
Feeling the meaning of each word  
My pen releases underlined feeling  
 
Explaining why this poem  
Hits home
 
My body shakes  
My mind gets terrified  
From the ink behind my thought  
 
... sometimes  
Poetry goes deep
Deep into my reality  
 
I can feel the hurt  
Begging to stream out of me  
...........
 
 words choked up  
Angrily  
 
Mentally I need a release...
 
 
words  
refusing...
 
 
Skin covered in chills  
Hands afraid to move
 
Pen stuck
No ink spilled
I can't acknowledge the demons within  
 
Pen stuck

Tapping on confusion within  
 
Ink glued to me like a permanent tattoo  
 
Because some topic still can't come through.
