A Letter to My Dad

I don't have a lot of words to describe the the special Joy I feel when it comes to you my memories were cut short because you're no longer here with me

I have your eyes your smile your talent even your name
I am an Adult now trying to make in this dirty game

To tell you the truth Dad I'm hanging on by wing and a prayer
And I won't forget that you were the first to teach me how to be a player

I feel your presence sometimes when I am in the trenches
Surrounded by gangsters skizas weirdos and winches

I know it's you who is protecting me behind the bricks and the fences
You gave me my first rhyme book
I still use it to write verses and hooks

I know that you are proud of me
For the strength that I can't see
Mom always says you're just like your father….

I still hear the sound of your voice
I can even almost smell your cologne and I remember the way you looked in your best dressed uniforms

You had the strongest arms that felt like rocks
I used to think you was giant
But then one day you got shot…

Only to survive by your Daughter and Son
You are forever my big garden and
Has been my guiding Light , beautifully and bright reflection of the shining sun

When I see other people with their
Father's I do sometimes feel numb
It feels weird because apart of me is not here

I can always close my eyes
And follow the path that leads me to you
In my dreams where we are together
Again

Skateboarding, playing video games
And at the beach making castles
in the sand
I hope this letter finds you in heaven
