Isang Araw ~
Life is beautiful,
Don’t you agree?
Why yes, it really is.
And, don’t you reflect on
How beautiful it has been?
Well yes, I must try.
So why do I still feel
That regret in your smile
After you've been almost anywhere
And done almost everything?
Because often,
I still wonder…
Oh tell me,
What’s that you ponder?
How beautiful a butterfly would look,
If it landed on your finger,
Well, that’s truly something,
I do agree,
It’s a quaint dream.
Begging you never to move an inch,
So it could rest it’s tired wings.
Sure,
But it’s not like it’s personal.
If only you could have a purpose so real,
As you, a protector of this fragile
And universally beautiful creature
In these fleeting seconds of ours.
But I’m here for you,
And there are so many that care for you,
It is as if, I’m almost connected
To the entire universe
Through these translucent wings of
A single butterfly.
My dear one,
There’s so much more to see out there.
It was almost as if my time here
Could even last forever.
