Passion and Pain
I turn on TV in fear some time
Hoping we haven't lost another
I'm not nagging you my dear
I hold my family a little closer now too
We're living as if we have targets
Being hunting down like animals
Stalking their prey
They mistake your passion for aggression
You're so misunderstood and they don't see you the way we do
I wept for who you could be and changes you could make
I see a greatness and beauty that lies inside of you
When you hurt so I do
I feel the pain when tears fall from my eyes
I want you to know this sister is praying for a change to come
Hoping we haven't lost another
I'm not nagging you my dear
I hold my family a little closer now too
We're living as if we have targets
Being hunting down like animals
Stalking their prey
They mistake your passion for aggression
You're so misunderstood and they don't see you the way we do
I wept for who you could be and changes you could make
I see a greatness and beauty that lies inside of you
When you hurt so I do
I feel the pain when tears fall from my eyes
I want you to know this sister is praying for a change to come
