If only lived forever
If only we lived forever,
We'd have enough time to rectify our mistakes.
We'd have enough time to learn all the lessons unlearned.
We'd all live life to the fullest.
Without fear.
Maybe we'd all be in persuit of happiness,
We'd learn to heal and mend our broken hearts.
If only we lived forever.
We'd take things easy.
We'd watch the sun set over mountains,
And plunge it's nose into the open seas.
The air would be light,
The fire flies would light up every night.
We all would have assurance that tomorrow comes.
Maybe we would head out to the beaten path.
We'd uncover the mysterious of the universe,
And answer the riddles of the vastness of eternity.
What would be hunger?
What would be thirst?
What would be death?
Could we all be stars?
Could we all journey beyond our minds,
And venture beyond our might?
Could we love with all our hearts,
And be beyond mankind?
If only we lived forever

I've pondered this question myself PoT, and arrived at the conclusion I would not want to live forever—everyone you ever loved would ( at some point ) leave you. I'm too interested in seeing what comes after life. I've heard it's a gas! :D

First i like the way you wrote this piece,
It reads smooth and flowed nicely.
Second, its a piece that makes you think if you could live forever. ..alone with that ability absolutely not .. if it was everyone ..... We all would be in the same boat.....
Change time or some events would be better in my book 😉

Wow my friend! A soaring epic contemplation of an age-old quest. I saw sci fi adventure into what immortality might entail. Like the episode said if people lived forever, there would likely be no children since overpopulation would quickly be too much. In a Star Trek episode from the sixties there was a planet of people who were all immortal. They were pleading with captain Kirk to bring an infectious disease to their planet to make them mortals. The overcrowding was oppressive for them. Love your thoughts my friend. Truly cosmic in their vastness.
