Whose footsteps to follow?
Human or cloven?

The thousand eyed whale
Roaring to and from infinity
Only understandable to us,
His apes, through his son's teachings.

Or, the light bearer,
The archetypal Prometheus.
The wayward prodigal
Does he hope to return home?

Is the way always left or right?
Cleft in two?
Is it straightforward?
Blind turns, dead ends, proliferate.

So who to follow?
Who to chose?
Or is it predetermined?
Are we free?
