Writer's Block
When solemn storms start to lay down their siege,
And all your inspiration flees with speed,
surrender into the ocean instead,
and blissfully drown that storm in your head
Once lost at sea is when you can begin,
feel your flow as torrents spiral and spin,
let ripples form rivers on which to feed,
and refill your mind with the ink it needs.
Now the skies above can no longer brood,
your mind newly cleansed, and solace renewed,
the water returns to a placid lake,
only now you feel your soul is awake.
Now pen your way with the stars as your guide,
map down your course and you shall arrive.
And all your inspiration flees with speed,
surrender into the ocean instead,
and blissfully drown that storm in your head
Once lost at sea is when you can begin,
feel your flow as torrents spiral and spin,
let ripples form rivers on which to feed,
and refill your mind with the ink it needs.
Now the skies above can no longer brood,
your mind newly cleansed, and solace renewed,
the water returns to a placid lake,
only now you feel your soul is awake.
Now pen your way with the stars as your guide,
map down your course and you shall arrive.
