Covid

This corona virus has given me writer's block,
All my ryhmes seem to be under a lock.
Because whatever I say will be so trivial,
Whereas this pandemic is ever so real.
Impossible to think, don't know where my thoughts lie,
As it's a real threat our loved ones could die.
Suppose all we can do is try to stay safe,
Wake up each morning, put on a brave face.
When you go out, cover your nose and your mouth,
Little things like that can stop this from going south.
Take more than a little care, use a hand sanitiser,
Need an incentive, look at the death toll as a reminder.
Social distancing might really suck,
But with Covid19, do you dare push your luck?
I for 1 feel my freedom's been taken,
No friends or family, I feel quite forsaken.
But as a conscientious member of society,
I stick to the rules, even though they rile me.
Because imagine you had corona and spread it through the land,
Could you really cope with people's death on your hands?
