slow-lane

Broken /down before me      
the Silver-dog  
still keeps me waiting      
       
Another day is lost      
along the way      
So now        
  I am debating      
       
Should I stay        
   or should I go  
Will he be here        
when I return?      
Oh Lord;      
   I just don't know      
          For your guidance      
       I do yearn      
       
Negative looks        
from jealous faces      
Envious thoughts;      
      Of far away places      
Still I struggle      
& stumble through        
         the motions      
Making my way      
to the other side        
       of this ocean      
       
A sea of hatred  
has made me ill      
Tainting my temple      
  Testing my will      
       
        Unafraid      
of being alone      
I shall survive        
& continue to roam      
     for  
I only grow stronger        
with every attack        
Providing the lessons      
& knowledge I lack      
       
Healing these wounds      
Regaining my strength      
    Exceeding my goals      
Regardless of length...
