We walked...
We walked a path between those trees
and never did we think about
what fruits they bore and how their leaves
fell every fall onto the ground.
We walked this very lonely road
and all the time above our heads,
there shone the sun, daylight so broad,
we never thought about our deaths.
We crossed the river styx in time
and never did we waste a word.
The words I didn't say and now are mine
are words that you have never heard.
And all along you have been hurt.
and never did we think about
what fruits they bore and how their leaves
fell every fall onto the ground.
We walked this very lonely road
and all the time above our heads,
there shone the sun, daylight so broad,
we never thought about our deaths.
We crossed the river styx in time
and never did we waste a word.
The words I didn't say and now are mine
are words that you have never heard.
And all along you have been hurt.
