> Let Me In <

Kept deep in my heart, a cluster had formed,
One blue moon, colours my soul.
Even if I did think, that it could ruin me,
I pretended like, it was natural.

Something told me, just stay calm
Something told me, close your eyes~

It’s desolate coldness,
Whistling~
What’s your signal now?
Let me in.

Could it be worth it, diving into the abyss?
To go, where solitude follows me?
Somehow it feels,
Almost too comfortable here.

So lonely, feels so free, solo.

*instrumental*

Maybe, I’ll beg you, to take me back home
But you feel~new and familiar.
How could you surprise me, so effortlessly?
Like you spoke, from the heart, my very first thought.

Why now, do you knock?
But I’ve heard this, for a while.
Have I just been, scared to open up?
Once I say the words, you know will come,
How will I know this, is what I’m meant for?

Could it be worth it, diving into the abyss?
To go, where solitude follows me?
Somehow it feels,
Almost too comfortable here.

So lonely, feels so free, solo.

(Ooh~woah)

A birthmark scars my skin,
Just one way to determine,
If I was, meant to be, chosen!

(Oh~woahhh~)

*whispering the stanza below*

“The truth won’t run,
If you just let it come in”

Could it be worth it, diving into the abyss?
Even though, I don’t know where it could lead?
Somehow it feels,
Almost too wonderful here.

This something, knows one thing, I must know.

This something, still calls me, I must know.

This something, some call this…

~Love.

“True love mustn’t be a projection on others, more than a revelation of who matters—the self.”

This song was sung by the graceful Korean artist, HaSeul of LOONA.

Author's Note
These lyrics speak about a protagonist who has been trapped by her doubts for much of their life. Ever since the beginning, they have be somewhat aware of what they were meant for, as it was marked on their heart, but not entirely sure of what it is. When they finally decide to "dive into the waters" to discover their true fate, they realize it comes at a cost, which is separating themselves from everyone else. At the end of the song, the protagonist finds the beginnings of self-love, but it's still uncertain as to what further discovery might bring. ~~I wrote this song a while back, hoping that it could bring out the lonely, but oddly comfortable place I inhabited as a young child who couldn't connect with other people quite well.
