Coronavirus- A lovers Lament

I live alone
Must stay at home
Away from my lover

If she comes near
I must be a clear
Six feet from my lover

This virus is to blame
Apart we must remain
I cannot touch my lover.

I remember the time
When touching was no crime
When I was with my lover.

We would caress
And undress
In bed with my love

Skin to skin
Would make us grin
The feel of my lover

Lips would touch
Arms would clutch
So close to my lover

Touching was the core
Leading to much more
Closeness with my lover

I am deprived;
Have not contrived,
How to touch my lover

I yearn for the time
When it will be fine
To  touch again my lover
