In the dark

Tucked in bed,
In the corner,
In the dark,
like a mourner.

Of chances missed,
and task not done,
I wish to dream of love and fun.

Deep thought travel through the mind,
stories written, paths to find.
The ideas lost, try to unwind.
Don't be cruel dear mind.

Put at rest,
don't try, don't test,
accept the mess, you tried your best.

Don't tidy, don't mutter, attempt to empty out the clutter.
If brain could talk it would be a stutter.
Whispers, mutters, quiet words.
They grow loader, the need to be herd,
but that won't happen they won't make their mark, as I lie quietly the dark .
