Image for the poem a darkling no more and yet...

a darkling no more and yet...

the grim deserts while in the throes of agony left to linger
doest he not gain restless for truth he who waits on bated breath...

I am requested at court but I tarry in the field
I care not for societal niceties
they never cared for me

the vow...no darkling shall break
but I have been abandoned utterly shall you claim me now?

I wilt not that I be brought into the horde
I am quite happy as I am
yes different perhaps but happy none the less

you hunger only after my power
to possess and wield

I will unfurl a tempest
wave after wave shall befall you
would you conjure me to your own demise?

make no error I'm grateful
it was fate you should turn me loose
so the heavens should be my refuge
