is dust

dander
ailin'
you?
has pollen
got you off the rails
coughin
so you can't inhale?
call the doctor?
stay in bed?
is it in your lungs
or just your head?
asprin, NyQuil,
Benadryl?
its quick, i hear,
and then
downhill
they're testing those
whose throats are sore
mine's scratchy, lord
do i need more?
jesus christ
i'm so annoyed
am i sick

Allergies. Same every spring, only progressively worse with age.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Still, I wish they could test us all.
The worry creeps in and works the mind.

Growing up in Hawaii, at one time i slept on plastic sheets
and had plastic curtains.
i try not to think about the allergies and the coronavirus gig. My Mom and me agree -- when it's our time to go, we're goin' without stress or worry.

Allergies didn't start until I was in my 40s, but they were making up for lost time yesterday.
I hope when my time comes I can slide into it easy. I worry about my wife, who has some health issues.
