the tree contract

I am a witch by nature
magic comes naturally but I fear it's power
the spirits talk and I can't help but be captivated
it is nature's own voice who calls me

it is the voice of the Earth's ancestors drumming in my soul
they stir my restlessness
the winds are stirred in my tumultuous times
I've never studied the magics but I feel it within my being
the earth, wind, water, and fire I am an elemental the spirits tell me

the restless come seeking voice
I hear their complaints
I am a humble servant in my master's kingdom
his will be done

the denizens of old talk to me of the future
they have always given me peace and safety
they know my voice
in their bows, I hid when I was yet a child
they encompass about me now

he died on a tree our Lord
they testify to this truth
I have a tree contract my soul is safe
though there be mischievous spirits about

so it is above and below
mote it be
