She was foaming at the mouth
when she rushed up to the window
put both hands on the glass and screamed
"HUMANITY!"

I was human and it was a wail begging response
But she did not speak on
she had been alone too long
and had forgotten how to hold discourse
instead she stayed and watched
eagerly and full of longing
the world outside her own
