The Best I Can

Finally, I've opened my eyes-
Seen the truth-
Packed up my childhood fantasies
      And misconceptions,
And tucked them neatly away
Beneath the dense onus
Of an all to harsh reality,
Trying desperately to holding my head up,
Despite the burdens of responsibility
That bear down unforgivingly upon me,
And I begin to fien again.
The worst part is...
While i was away...
They raised the stakes.
So,
I think of you,
And sleep it off,
And try to hide it
    The best I can.
