Clouds
Clouds
it was a bright Spring day
and a clear sky
apart from two white clouds
which were floating along
on a gentle breeze
one of them, spoke to the other
"have you noticed
that since those metal birds
aren't flying around so much
that the air feels a bit cleaner?"
"yes
do you think they've migrated?"
"no idea, but it's kind of strange
the sky seems kind of empty"
meanwhile
back on Earth
a mother was looking up to the sky
through her window
and called over to her young daughter
"there are two clouds that look like funny faces!"
her daughter ran over to the window
looked at the two clouds, and said
"they look like aeroplanes, not faces!"
giggled, and went back to her drawing
the mother smiled at her daughter
but her underlying thoughts
lay hidden behind her maternal smile
wondering as to what lay ahead
as they remained imprisoned
within the walls of their home
the two clouds crashed
and soon it rained
and nature quenched its thirst.
