FOR THE ABSENCE OF FEAR
For the absence of fear
allows me to draw near.
I know you mean no harm
when I'm draped by your arm;
round my waist its pressure
just makes me feel secure,
so I can relax more
and be lost in love's awe.
I reach for your free hand,
your fingers stroke love band
then between mine they mesh.
A glow tinges my flesh
like ripples through a pond
at the strength of our bond
shown in your hand's tightness,
inducing heart lightness.
My head leans towards yours,
I note how our breath draws,
your lips move to meet mine,
We kiss, feels so divine,
We linger to savour
the other tongue's flavor,
then our mouths disengage.
My heartbeat's in rampage.
You smile, ushering me
to place of privacy
where you and I can share
passions that we lay bare
as we link, one on one,
in a full union.
