To The People Who Mock "different"
You judge what you are afraid of
and yet you can’t be judged in return
you mock what you can’t understand
and yet you can’t handle being mocked in return
you look down on us for being different
all while proclaiming that differences make the world go ‘round
do you not see what is happening?
you are so blinded by the normal you see in your own mind
that you can’t possibly fathom the “un-normal”
normal shouldn’t exist in our world
and yet to you, it does
you want to live in a perfect world
in your perfect world
that to you, anything that is different isn’t perfection
you are scared of people that you can’t understand
you judge us based on how we look or act
because you can’t bare to look inside and see
that we are just as human as you are
You hypocrites! You fools!
to us, you are different
but we don’t speak of it
we can’t insult you for how you act
but oh, you don’t mind doing it to us
You’ve closed yourself off from imagining a united world
a world where different is accepted
because that isn’t YOUR world
that isn’t a world that you can touch, see or imagine
try to imagine it and one day
you might see the world as we have seen all of our lives
and yet you can’t be judged in return
you mock what you can’t understand
and yet you can’t handle being mocked in return
you look down on us for being different
all while proclaiming that differences make the world go ‘round
do you not see what is happening?
you are so blinded by the normal you see in your own mind
that you can’t possibly fathom the “un-normal”
normal shouldn’t exist in our world
and yet to you, it does
you want to live in a perfect world
in your perfect world
that to you, anything that is different isn’t perfection
