per valentine's day

love is a funny thing
                 for it has:
                  so many degrees,
                  so many standards,
                  so many questions,
                  so many secrets,
                  so many fears,
                  so many doubts,
                  will i ever know what it’s about.
                  for i do know that it has touched me here--
                  let me make this clear.
