The Songs You Sing

I've listened to you in my mind
your words I've read each time
your poetry has come alive
both in and out of rhyme

I've felt the joy and anguish too
flowing from your heart
I've tasted love the way that you
love loving in the dark

secret worlds which you expose
so naked and so real
both your highs and too your lows
are feelings which I feel

listening to you in my mind
with voice that's sweet and pure
it always helps me to unwind
I'm drawn by your allure

your poetry, the songs you sing
sharing joyfully -
the music of your soul's within
a special part of me
