Shooting Stars and Opiate Blockers
My head casts a morbid shadow on my chest
Like the shadow of a mortician cast over a body lying on his embalming table
You bring me back to those feeling I run from
Your delicate fingers picking my receptors clean
You call my name from the bathroom
But I can’t hear you anymore
Life vanishes from my eyes faster than the makeup laced tears run down your cheeks
Life falls from my eyes faster than shooting stars in night skies
Like the shadow of a mortician cast over a body lying on his embalming table
You bring me back to those feeling I run from
Your delicate fingers picking my receptors clean
You call my name from the bathroom
But I can’t hear you anymore
Life vanishes from my eyes faster than the makeup laced tears run down your cheeks
Life falls from my eyes faster than shooting stars in night skies
