Verse II
Forced to face reality
That's how a lot of people work:
As long as possible, deny,
And at the end, cry.
And how do whispers tear fabric,
However metaphorical?
Impossible, it has to be,
And it had to be all the same.
The Whisperer spoke,
And the veil was torn
To let the words in,
And her eyes were opened.
Her fingers slipped,
The masked men ignored her
And in the face of the broken smile
With the bloodied teeth
And the missing lips,
She's screaming.
