Rocks

Another one to the pile
But I'm still carrying the last
I think I can make it but my strength's fading fast
Can I set it down for just a second?
I could really use a rest

But you add another to my load
And miles to my road
And I can't remember which way to go

But I carry this pile
And walk blindly on
On and on till the mile's are gone
And maybe my burden will finally lighten
Maybe I'll be able to put down these rocks
