And then it seemed perfect
your wisps of slightly dark brown hair
too short but enchanting as the light
in your bedroom turned red and your
face became the moon to my earth: your
bare shoulder like a swan's curve and
our bodies touching like folded wings:
this almost painted musical moment
neither of us will ever remember.
