N¡ggas, n¡gguhs, n¡ggaz (IN SPOKEN WORD)
--oh yes…
haven’t you heard?
--that is a mighty word…
--a defended and defeated blur…
--set free that caged bird
-nigga expresses friendship among black males... “that’s my nigga”…
--it also expresses hate in reaction…
”imma’ kill dat nigguh”... --but no fights anymore
--just settled by the trigger --damn niggaz…go figure…
--use of nigga is commonplace now…a popular and fashionable trend…
--and to those in defense of its use…can u tell me… where exactly did it begin?
--better yet, can you tell me when it will END?
--from the mouths of evil men…
--who found that it was useful…
--to keep his order…his slaves in line…they must be dutiful
--in the slaves, I see what perhaps you don’t…
--where Black, was so powerfully beautiful
-- slaves were only property... being a NEGRO was a sin
--treated worse than any animal…-no longer women or men…
--they call us nigger…and we are expected to call them sir
--my kings and queens…you’ve adapted “niggaz” from the white man’s enigmatic slur
--hang on…drop where you think I’m gonna’ preach to you…
--not my style…cuz there for a while
--I used the nigga too…
-“used” as in past tense…
I realized there is NO defense
--gained a lot more insight…and a better sense
--of the beauty in us…
--not what we have been conditioned to believe is wrong…
--music, is poetry moving to sound…
--please listen to my song…
--the thickness of our lips and hips,
broad noses…our hair…
--is the mark of our culture…
--NOTHING is in need of repair…
--we have nothing to show and prove
--we ruled countries and dynasties throughout space and time
--we were always an intelligent accomplished people…
-way before the slavery move
--we’ve been lied to enough…
-I, must interject some truths
--power, beauty, and distinction…that, is what we represent
--now, we seem to take what we’ve been handed
--instead of what is meant
--to be
-you see
--not truly free
--until we
--tap into our history
--take this journey with me
--now ending this song...
--sure hope you sing along
--my mind and my mission remain strong
--dropped the “nigga” off, long time ago
--more and more you will understand, how it just DOES NOT belong
--doesn’t matter how you spell it… --it is a chain that binds
--leave the “niggaz” alone…
--explore deep within your minds
--there is where…
your true power lies
--the truth has been buried…
but it never dies...
--enlightenment achieved only…
--when you open your fuckin' eyes!
haven’t you heard?

--a defended and defeated blur…
