toes across the line



there was a line a while back
  a few decades ago
that I - with a delicate
     and with a certain slow
     did dip over my toe
  
don't you too
  dip your digits
  or your pen
over that line

there's something
on the otherside
that will pull
            you
            in

sure as sin
  it will pull you in
an' you'll slide
  like a hot-slick birth
into that - this -
  otherside-land of missing mirth

toes in 'tan's lair so dipped
in life - in real - do mirror
       an angel's wings
           - clipped -

          she screams!
            hear-her?

she tumbles
earthbound

  rolling through realms
         down to us
        thus ripped

keep your toes to your  self
unless you're ready to ride...
  ride this life...
your angel
  broken
at your side
