Gingerbread Land

It’s the gingerbread man
In a gingerbread land
In his gingerbread house
With a gingerbread spouse
But he’s hiding from the little old woman and man
They baked him in their oven
Until he popped out and ran
He ran past the pig, the horse and the cow
They all wanted to take a bite and eat him up now
“Run, Run, Run” said the gingerbread man
“Can’t catch me” he yelled at the little old man
He made it to a river but he could not swim
“Oh what’ll I do now?!” His future looks dim
Until a Fox came along and offered his help
He promised not to eat him “Please take my help!”
So the gingerbread man got across safe and sound
The fox said goodbye and then turned around
Stunned and surprised felt the gingerbread man
He was safe in his merry town again called gingerbread land
He hopped and he skipped into his gingerbread house
In the comforting arms of his gingerbread spouse
Hiding and surviving remained the gingerbread man
“Can’t catch me cause I’m in my Gingerbread Land!”
