Compelled to Thaw

On this field of sheets we settle
 snowflakes of like energy
 a celebration of differences
 same minded
 yet bodies strangely
 crystallized in chemistry
 spawned on hopeless storm

 We clutch this jagged ice
 the frozen lake has warmed
crush it cold to our mouths
 bitten by winter
 in tied tongued submission
ruled by a blue moon stalking
 to set adrift and ravage
 quaking in the eye
 beset by hopeless storm

 One breath and time dissolves
 unlocked in flood
 the moments stream their swarm
a tangling of the trance commits
to sins that leave us torn
 and steaming on our path
 two souls
 beset by hopeless storms
