The storm

"I just came back today
I just came back from the storm."
I came to
and made it through.
I sense and am eager for
a new era to take place..
no more struggling through any storm
we've already been warned
 many times before
and faced so much
fear and frustration.
Acknowledging the alienation
fully aware of the angst and
 all the other shit we may be
 going through.
Now we're making better choices
Using our voices to say
what we feel and
what's real to us
or what may be killing us
it's all out there..
In the open..
Floating,
processed and released
but never fully forgotten
forever forged into the soul
it's up to us
to contain control or let ourselves go
and I know we've heard it all before,
we understood the clue,
and we were told it
was just a secret
but really it's nothing new..
We know we can make it through
we know we can't
fake it to
find ourselves and we feel we must
search so far beyond
what's happening within
right here, right now
but it won't be out there.
