Trust

An enemy of an enemy is said to be our friend
Does that bend the other way of a friend then
Meaning does a mutual friend become an enemy
A perplexing question whose answer isn't easy

Paranoia makes me wonder about this quite often
I've got trust issues & have buried most in a coffin
I'm talking about that detrimental five letter word
Never to be a sheep again in any shepherd's herd

I observe the actions of factions then I take notes
Discerning if I may have to burn more big boats
Something I hope not cause I already limit my ships
Too many can result in some very tumultuous trips
