Happiness

The mere thought of happiness
Seems like a shoot and a miss
Every day wake up and see
Happiness inside everybody
When you get to school a smile has been placed
When you look away the smile gets erased
Only there to provide security
Happiness isn’t purity
Another day another lie
We watch the earth die
What we’ve done to the happiness
Parents tell us ignorance is bliss
But you deserve the right
To understand the sight
Of our world turned hopeless
And our hearts without happiness
