Time is not a river
But an ocean.
Where I saw
heartbroken lovers die
From the other's compulsions
Everyone's always so happy flowing in motion
As long as it's in the same direction and speed
Vast catastrophes behind the majestic sea
Where the audience is blowing hard
causing waves crashing along the victim's ship
Grasp the throat and hips
of a butterfly
Freedom is only beautiful
when your skin is by their side
everynight
Death is inevitable
Alone as well
Unless you kill your mate
With all your pent up hate
Cursing individuality and self-reliance
You can't crucify your God or goddess today
And ask for saving another day...
But an ocean.
Where I saw
heartbroken lovers die
From the other's compulsions
Everyone's always so happy flowing in motion
As long as it's in the same direction and speed
Vast catastrophes behind the majestic sea
Where the audience is blowing hard
causing waves crashing along the victim's ship
Grasp the throat and hips
of a butterfly
Freedom is only beautiful
when your skin is by their side
everynight
Death is inevitable
Alone as well
Unless you kill your mate
With all your pent up hate
Cursing individuality and self-reliance
You can't crucify your God or goddess today
And ask for saving another day...
