Male Gaze
I am tired
tired of the Male Gaze
I am tired
of being undressed
stripped naked
by hungry and ravenous Male eyes
I am tired of being examined
and critically assessed
in the minutiae of my nudity
and the vulnerability
of my nakedness
albeit imaginary
masculine ideation
imaginary or not
it still defiles me and insults me
I am more than a body
I am more than a thing of flesh
I am tired
tired
of bending over
in the minds of men
and opening my legs
and exhibiting myself
in wanton and shameless
effrontery
I am tired
of the Male Gaze
pulling apart my arse cheeks
and beholding
in endless curiosity
my intimate areas
the cheap disgusting vile
abandonment of purity
the rape of dignity
the male gaze
the sick indefatigable need
of vile and hopeless Man
but since I got a telephone
things are better now
I can stare at it all the time
and let it destroy my mind
quietly
and in this way
I can forget
the male Gaze
permanently
and forever
at the termination of
my journey
to total mental obliteration
by smartphone
and that is better isn’t it?
