Mother Earth Has a Son Who Cries

a calm sunny day

keeps the pain away

Mother Earth has many children

Clouds gather for their weekly meeting

and rain befalls the Earth

to bring life to the valley

the beating sun goes to rest

and above in his cradle the son sleeps sound

until lightning and thunder stirs him awake

crying and down pouring violently

or in soft trinkles

Both are needed to sustain life

If the rain stops we we will all die

it is true
