Went for my 5k
Had my vitamins,
Today I am eating
Very, very light
I want to feel perfect...
Water, water, water...
Must stay hydrated
I want for my skin to glow
When he gets me totally naked
I want to look perfect...
Spa time...mani & pedi
Hair deep conditioning
Full body sugar & honey scrub
And my Brazilian...ouch!!!!
I want to be perfect...

Peaches with honey eating all day,

Something about this made me feel empty - reminds me of someone scrubbing at an imaginary stain with bleach. Not sure if that's a good response or not.

Thank you for your read and your comment Merda... Every mind is a different world and I believe that reading someone else's work makes you realize what your own life or present situation is alike... For me writing this piece made me feel full of joy and at this moment I am enjoying my life to the fullest, there are shadows in my life, but this poem and today are making me the happiest woman in the world....

Maybe...on some subconscious level I was responding to an emptiness in myself that was made all the more clear by your words. But actually I don't believe that...cause what got me was the word 'perfect', and the way words were repeated three times in a kind of obsessive mantra. Makes me think of a few lines of Leonard Cohen lyrics: "Ring the bells that still can ring/Forget your perfect offering./There is a crack in everything,/That's how the light gets in."
