the shine from your eyes
in the midnight lights
as we hear the sounds of peaceful times
I take you into my arms
dance to some old pop songs
while you look back at me
I wonder what you must think
could swear you're looking into my soul
knowing that I'm broken
thinking you are broken too
maybe together we can pick up the pieces
