dunes of time
for now and for long
i want to stare out of the car window
in the afternoon hue
losing sense of time that is moving forward
stationary and idle
the sun lit fields of youth
for now and for long
i want to remain in a photograph
riding down a highway that does not move forward
with the summer storms both in front
and behind
extend my hand towrds the sky
let the warmth soak up
let the rain drops shiver my spine
time after time
with a twinkle in the iris
and shoe laces untied
for now and for long
i want to remain
a tiny sand particle
in the dunes of time
i want to stare out of the car window
in the afternoon hue
losing sense of time that is moving forward
stationary and idle
the sun lit fields of youth
for now and for long
i want to remain in a photograph
riding down a highway that does not move forward
with the summer storms both in front
and behind
extend my hand towrds the sky
let the warmth soak up
let the rain drops shiver my spine
time after time
with a twinkle in the iris
and shoe laces untied
for now and for long
i want to remain
a tiny sand particle
in the dunes of time
