3: 19:  Blinded By Recognition

Excerpt 19 from Journal 3, 'The Garden Of Truth'
  - From 'Journals To My True Love, Part 1'

Sometimes we wish for something so badly for so long
that when it appears in front of us we are blinded by it’s glory….
      We are stunned with recognition….

We feel like we are being ripped open and analyzed…
And we are overcome with all types of emotions, good and bad…

I believe you feel this way about me, as I you, My Love, and it is OK…
From my perspective, you are the only man in my eyes
even if you don’t see me in the same light at this time….

I know what I feel, and this is what matters in my world….
A flower in the field blooms in it’s time no matter what the conditions….

Love is impervious to the happenings around it….
My heart endures all; it feels and sees all and responds in it’s own time,
it’s own rhythm, rhyme and reason…

Take this gift and hold it in your heart…
Let the magic of your own song be sung and enhanced
by the love and admiration of others…..

Let it bind you to the truths that exist in you…
Let it set you free in time….

                       .....

Author's Note
Footnote: Part 1 of this series, written 12 years ago in spiral bound notebook journals and excerpted later on, contained the name of an actual man I was writing about and toward the end, I changed that name to My True Love.  I wanted the writings to take a more universal theme going forward from there, and also wanted to let go of the past and have the written art imitate the life journey so as to add authenticity to the piece.  I began writing part 2 recently and once I had begun writing it, I found out the man died.  It was then I went in the direction of writing about loss through death and repurposing of a story through writing.  He had been a creative writer, too, so that became part of the story, a life lived on through words, and my grand tribute to him became my own story as well
