I’ve Yet to Find my Way to Take the Night – Sonnet Forty
I’ve yet to find my way to take the night
In solemn passage, guide my way to dawn,
For certain demons gauge my fear, delight,
And seek their passage in my ramble's on.
For deep within the darkness of my dreams,
The place reserved of only those who dare,
To bleed the sanctum of my thoughts’ redeem,
In letting blood, to taste the blackness there.
In gossamer of shimmered angel’s pass,
Occasioned in my deepest terror's sway,
How sweetest words in sweeter version cast,
Spreads light to bring me gentle into day.
It is my angel's way to bring with po'ms
Through demon night, in verse, to bring me home.
In solemn passage, guide my way to dawn,
For certain demons gauge my fear, delight,
And seek their passage in my ramble's on.
For deep within the darkness of my dreams,
The place reserved of only those who dare,
To bleed the sanctum of my thoughts’ redeem,
In letting blood, to taste the blackness there.
In gossamer of shimmered angel’s pass,
Occasioned in my deepest terror's sway,
How sweetest words in sweeter version cast,
Spreads light to bring me gentle into day.
It is my angel's way to bring with po'ms
Through demon night, in verse, to bring me home.
