You call my name
And I come running
I find this game
All but funny
You look at me
With those brilliant green eyes
As I catch my breath
I forget about the lies
The lies you say
You have never told
But you had a woman
Whom you said you'd grow old.
Promises broken
Memories fade
Emotions high
New promises made.
Where we stand I do not know
You say you love me
But your scared to let it show
Trapped within my own mind
I try my hardest
To keep my words kind.
Lashing out I fear is next
I do not want to see you
Become an ex.
So day by day
Is how we'll go
Nice and easy
Nice and slow
And if I rush, I apologize
But Ill be the one to burn
For I will knowingly believe your lies.
And I come running

All but funny

With those brilliant green eyes
As I catch my breath
I forget about the lies
The lies you say
