Icicled Emotions

Eyes so fixed,
they glaciated
in sight of the arctic reality!

Icicles hanging from my eyelids
within the wintry glow of the sun,
nowhere near to thaw tearcicles.

These frozen chimneys,
when thawed,
billows the black smoke of my breakdown!

The alpenglow on the summits of my tone,
angry reds, and steady glows
from a distant internal peace.

I’m told there are crystals winking
within my glassy eyes,
only twinkling thoughts of happiness.

A hailstorm rages, and whirls within my body.
The hailstones raiding my heart,
cherry flakes dance in the whirlwind of my emotions.

Glaciers of mental objects, molding themselves to my mind.
Drifting to my eyes, streaming torrentially down my face
in the summer-shine that is you.

You see? Your sunrays
defrost the hallucinations
glaciating my eyes!
