Absquatulate
The way you never
gathered
me into your arms
after violating
my body
was like
being bathed
in the
shadows
of your light
as we conflated
like a fresh
wreath
of
flowers
that were made
to adorn our
frames
as our scent
infused our senses
whilst noting the
unfaded written
written once
upon a time
when the hues
ran deep
in a rich ochre
redolence
as we blossomed
from the bud
that was wrapped
tightly upon our blank canvas
and I forgot
to stop
and
smell the roses
on the way
home
knowing I won't
make the same
mistake twice
as my words
will embrace the
uncertainty
with enlightened
possibility as we
wax and wane
cyclically
like the moon
whilst holding on
because I never
said goodbye
as we drifted
apart
and the
memory
of you
crucified me
and
still
I kneel upon
your altar
as if I
embody
the essence
of
desideratum.
