This Too Shall Pass

Fumbling around in the dark, I couldn't find the love inside my heart.
And it's really no surprise I fell apart.
People will tell you, they'll try to sell you that you're really not worth that much.
People abuse you, use and confuse you, trying to justify what it was.

Always said I was willing to die, but somethings cost you more than just your life.
Walked a million miles across the razor wire..  My  boys I didn't know how to love, even though I wanted to so much.  It took a long while till I found out how. Through God's healing touch...

Then I flipped a switch and the world lit up, down on my knees,  felt a healing rush.
When the dark comes calling saying happiness won't last. I'm going to tell that devil Jesus has my back.  Gonna keep on going up that brighter path, walking in the sunshine and I won't turn back. This I know-this too shall pass,.

All of these wounds,  they run so deep, more jagged than the scars the world can see.  My soul was just a shell lost at sea.
How do I unlearn, cross the bridges they burned, underneath my feet?

But I flipped a switch and the world lit up, down on my knees,  felt a healing rush.
When the dark comes calling saying happiness won't last. I'm going to tell that devil Jesus has my back.  Gonna keep on going up that brighter path, walking in the sunshine and I won't turn back. This I know-this too shall pass,.

Beauty from these ashes, losing my breath laughing.  Treasures that I'd never dreamed I'd have...

And  I flipped a switch and the world lit up, down on my knees,  felt a healing rush.
When the dark comes calling saying happiness won't last. I'm going to tell that devil Jesus has my back.  Gonna keep on going up that brighter path, walking in the sunshine and I won't turn back. This I know-this too shall pass,.  This too shall pass.
